angelboy is a DJ, producer, writer, and sociologist from Amsterdam whose work is driven by a search for sensuality; in sound, in movement, and in connection.

Their sets move between glitchy techno, hardgroove, electro, trance, and South American-infused rhythms, always with a strong sense of groove. Less about throwing your hands in the air, more about getting the hips moving.

Shaped by early 2000s pop and R&B, as well as the textures of industrial, angelboy brings together sexiness and grit. Whether in a sweaty basement or on a big system, they build sets with care.

As a DJ, angelboy has played across a wide range of underground spaces, queer parties, and festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. 

Their tracks blend reggaeton percussion, catchy synths, and sleazy vocals into playful, percussive club tools; part of a broader production style rooted in repetition, tension release, and bodily presence. With several bold releases already in orbit, they continue to expand their sound with more music coming this year.

angelboy is co-founder of the FLINTA* sex-positive party Rubi, a resident at Amsterdam’s queer party The Planet, and host of the monthly Echobox radio show Hysteria, where each episode explores a different emotion through a mix of leftfield sounds.

With a background in sociology and education on gender, sexuality, and safer clubbing, angelboy sees music and nightlife as tools for resistance, intimacy, and joy.
