Soft Break

Genre-busting, energy-driven aural narratives full of unexpected twists and turns. Rotterdam-born and based DJ, audiovisual artist, and graphic designer Soft Break draws heavy inspiration from her early experiences in Rotterdam’s jungle, dubstep, and grime scenes. Her DJ sets traverse an eclectic mix of gentle vocals, percussion, hard drums, footwork, hip hop, and sub-destroying bass.

A graduate of the No Shade DJ Mentoring Program 2020 in Berlin, Soft Break has captivated audiences at prestigious events and venues such as Dekmantel Festival, De School, Rolling Loud, Vandalized, SPIELRAUM, Rewire Festival, DGTL, CTM, RSO.Berlin, Boiler Room, COLORS, POING, the Venice Biennale of Architecture, and Dekmantel Selectors, among many others.

As one of the founders of AMPFEMININE, Soft Break actively collaborates with the collective to curate mixes by femme-identifying DJs, book talent, and host events and parties. With a series of standout performances under her belt, Soft Break is steadily carving her path and rising in the global music scene.
